You release her from your hold, and she looks at you as if you've lost your mind. "What was that about?" She asks, shaking her head. "These two men just tried to rape me, and you think it's time to make your move?"
You apologize profusely, and explain yourself. You tell her how much you feel for her, what she's always meant to you, and how desperately you've always wanted to be more than just friends. She takes it all in quietly, before giving you a soft, gentle smile.
"Okay," she says. "I understand. We're just friends though and I need you to respect that."
