Despite your guilt, you feel like you can't go back. You stand back and watch as the demon steals Dr. Calderon's soul, leaving only his charred corpse behind.

"Good work, my loyal servant," says the demon. "Now go and bring me more fresh meat."

You now know that you've crossed the line and can never be forgiven, not after luring an innocent man to his doom and damning his soul. You know that your own soul is damned too.

When the demon has taken enough souls to conquer the world, he taunts you by keeping you alive long enough to watch all of humanity be exterminated. When the last other human is dead, he finally puts you out of your misery.
