You open the door attached to the floor. It only seems like 10 foot to drop so you carefully lower yourself through and drop.

You hit the ground and drop your weapons. You pick them up and when you look up, in front of you, you see a 17'6" demon. It's not in your Demon Book so beating Valefar will be a challenge.
