You make your way down a long hall to a small office with Professor Beckett's name placard on the door. Hesitantly, you knock.
"Come in," he calls. You open the door to find a tall man seated behind a desk, his skin as pale a bone and his hair as black as night, with almost colorless blue eyes. He beckons you inside and holds out his hand for your enrollment form. "Welcome," he says, looking over your information and entering something into his computer. A moment later, the printer spits out a sheet of paper with your class schedule on it.
"Thank you, Professor," you say as he hands it to you.
"Sure thing," he says. You start to leave, but he calls after you. "Hang on; just out of curiosity, what species were you before you were turned into a vampire?"
