SM:Rush Over to Alexis
From Create Your Own Story
You run across the street to Alexis and drop to your knees as you reach her mangled form next to her car. You can't tell if she is breathing but your first priority is to grab her bag and tear through it in hopes that she has a cell phone so you can call for help. The sooner help gets here the greater her chance to survive.
The bag only has her swimsuit, a few cosmetic items, and a hair brush so you quickly and easily locate her cellphone at the bottom. You press 9, then 1, and as you press the final 1 you notice something that makes your heart sink.
'No Signal'
You reach down to Alexis and check her pulse but you don't feel one. She doesn't appear to be breathing, either. As you look closer you notice that even the blood on her body has stopped flowing like it should... she seems to be frozen.
You turn around and look behind you at the little girl who isn't moving either. In your peripherial vision you can see a small bird hovering in the air, mid-flight, without its' wings even flapping. Time itself seems to be frozen around you.
"I'm.. I'm sorry but your time is up," you hear a voice say from nearby. A familiar voice, the same one that you heard an hour ago when you signed that stupid contract.
You turn toward the voice and see, floating in the middle of the road, a hooded white cloak with a featureless, black porcelain mask where the face should be. In the white voids of its' eyes you sense a strong malevolent force and deep hatred for you.
"Stop whatever you're doing! I have to call for help!" you demand of the spirit, checking the phone again to see if by some miracle it worked.
Nope, still no signal.
"I can't... not yet. I need you to make a choice for me. You see... you saved that little girl, and so your contract is fulfilled. I don't wish to force anything on you so I need you to tell me if you want me to restore your life or send you to the afterlife," the spirit says.
You look down to Alexis, wishing you at least knew if she was alive. If she was dead, you could see her in the afterlife. If she was alive, you could try saving her. You'd have to carefully consider which direction to go but it still comes down to only a fifty-fifty chance of you being right.
Of course, even if she is alive... she may not survive her injuries.
You have a tough decision to make.
The End: You have saved the little girl, but are uncertain as to Alexis' ultimate fate. You must choose to either return to the land of the living, or pass on to the afterlife... of course, no matter which you choose, that is another story entirely.
