You break into song insinuating something about some conductor you heard about somewhere. At first, the Bernstein appears unphased by this, but as his deceased brain processes this sentiment it is too much, and simply falls into a pile of bee carcasses that once belonged the Vienna Philharmonic.

Oh no! You have given up your position to the dead Leonard Bernstein. He tries to blabber something to the orchestra but no one can understand him because he jaw is about to fall off. Soon his jaw does fall off and now only mere air leaves his mouth as his body slowly falls apart on the podium. But that is not of importance. You have no job now, and now you melt through the floor. The New York Philharmonic splits into 106,421 pieces, one piece for each strand of hair on Gustav Mahler's head. You have failed the New York Philharmonic!

Change your cowardly decision:

Frank Huang raises his bow and violin above his head and melts into the floor in the same spot the last concertmaster Glenn Dicterow raised his bow and violin above his head and melted into the floor, now that his role as a functioning member of society had been fulfilled.
You clear your throat and say:

"Hi new concertmaster! You are my queen bee and I am your beekeeper. If you make honey for me, great things will happen to me and then you will go crazy and melt through the floor and then this cycle will repeat again. It is a beautiful cycle".

He nods and appears to have understood what you said. You give him some clothes, a name, and the music for violin part in Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade. He eats the music and perfectly plays the whole piece from memory. You tell him this is inappropriate, and that you use your eyes and ears and not your mouth to play music. He nods and appears to have understood what you said. You have no additional problems with your new concertmaster who you decide to call "Little Cello Player". Now, you must move on with rehearsal.
The last thing you hear before you cease to exist is Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola K. 364. You think this is some sort of irony, but you can't remember exactly what that means because instead of paying attention in school, you were hitting your teacher's head in the same tempo as the last movement of Shostakovitch's 5th symphony while reciting "If this is what Gods do, then I am a God" over and over.
You take his multi-thousand dollar oboe and repeatedly smash it on the floor. As you keep smashing it, you can just barely make out the Mozart Oboe Concerto escaping from the broken bore of the oboe. It sounds like it's been trapped in there since 2006 when he won the job here. For some reason, hearing the Mozart Oboe Concerto is really bothering the flutes in particular.

The harbinger: Created page with 'You turn to Frank Huang and sternly shout: "You are Frank Huang, concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, but not anymore because I'm firing you for insubordination!" Frank …'

You turn to Frank Huang and sternly shout: "You are Frank Huang, concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, but not anymore because I'm firing you for insubordination!"

Frank Huang raises his bow and violin above his head and melts into the floor in the same spot the last concertmaster Glenn Dicterow raised his bow and violin above his head and melted into the floor, now that his role as a functioning member of society had been fulfilled. Now what do you do?

The harbinger:

Whoops!

You're inability to accept these musicians as your bees, and you as their master has cost you your job! Now you will never be able to wave your baton and make strange faces at your musicians until everyone in the audience has coughed 4 times! You are now out of work with no actual skills to offer the world. How tragic!
Let out the Bassoonist you kept in your closet as punishment because they couldn't count

The harbinger:

In a rare moment of mercy, you decide your Bassoonist has endured enough and should be let out of your closet. You unlock the door and find he has lost his mind from listening to the Berceuse movement from Stravinsky's "Firebird" that you have put on repeat for the past 2 months because his entrance was 1/32nd of a beat late during the last concert. He is also sickly pale from drinking his reed water and eating his reeds. Ah Bassoons. When will they ever learn?

You should probably head over to rehearsal now:
