Was it an automatic message, or did I do something wrong? Please let me know; I feel very bad because I fear I may have somehow wrecked your story in your eyes and I would hate for that to happen.

I also understand fully what you mean insofar as yearning for people to use decent grammar. I love to write and if someone scrawled all over one of my stories with things such as "omg lyke dewd!" I'd be rather upset.

If you like, I'm more than willing to direct you to the three submissions I made in hopes that if my error is small it can be fixed, or if it's large, it can all be erased in a timely manner so that your work can remain relatively unblemished. I did try to at least keep to the level of those others that have contributed, although I would like to pride myself at times with saying that I have excellent grammar.

Author's Notes: Introduction

Hello there. I'm guessing you're ready and raring to go and read this CYOA, but before you begin, I'm going to clarify a) what this is about and b) what you need to know if you want to be an editor.
Also, if you don't want all previous fairy-tale, happy ending ideas of your childhood favorites ruined, smashed, raped, and beaten, then it'd be best if you left.
If you've gotten the idea already and don't want to read about anything else, just skip down to the link to the next page.

A. This CYOA is going to be based on an assortment different fairy tales, but they are going to be the ORIGINAL versions, with all the dark, twisted things that go with them, some of which can be exaggerated and added onto. For instance, in Beauty and the Beast? No talking dishes here. We're talking thousands of undead, bodiless souls bound into servitude with a contracts book by Lucrezia, the former ruler, summoned to do work with different bells, and talked to in the Scrying room with mirrors. Cinderella? Don't get me started. Red Riding Hood? There is no lumberjack.

"Flude-o-Clock is the hour when the sun sets. After that it is Geight-o-Clock, Nicht-o-Clock, Raied-o-Clock, Sut-o-Clock, Treil-o-Clock, that's the midnight hour, then Hinn-o-Clock, Neul-o-Clock, Dae-o-Clock, Clared-O-Clock, Fie-o-Clock, Nix-o-Clock, Eivan-o-Clock, Liiat-o-Clock, Pien-o-Clock, Sven-o-Clock, Neven-o-Clock, Elve-o-Clock, Nunne-o-Clock, Gue-o-Clock, Tae-o-Clock, Goar-o-Clock, Gaive-o-Clock, and Faix-o-Clock, before we get back to Flude-o-Clock. It's so simple-- haven't you ever heard of the hours of the day before? Oh, I'm Tristan."
He smiles and bows, before humming to himself as he waits for you to bring up another topic of conversation. His accent seems slightly Germanic/Gaelic. It's the supposed accent of the entire populace. On the counter is a newspaper, and in the next room there is something that looks like a malformed, but functional, TV with a broadcast about the ruler filling the screen.

You see Crystal and she smiles at you, pushing some of her blonde hair behind an ear as she finishes arranging the electric blankets and such.
"Hello!" She calls. "Found anything?"

You show her the glow-sticks you found and ask for something to open the unnecessarily stubborn packaging with.
"Oh, yes! Here," She replies, giving you a small needle. You pierce the package with it (accidentally pricking your finger with said sowing needle) and proceed to help Crystal turn on the six glow-sticks you have found. Shaken and cracked, you arrange the glow-sticks... and wait for something to happen.

"That's odd... I thought the darkness would be gone by now," Crystal murmurs, gazing out into the inky black.
