You decide that there's no point in struggling, and you let yourself fall limp. The monster gets dragged down with you, and you both lay sprawled out in the doorway of the bathroom. The monster sinks it's teeth into your thigh, and you cringe in pain. The man screams in horror, and tries to get on top of the machines. All of a sudden, the hallway door bursts open, and men in black fatigues and combat gear in gasmasks step in. They raise their carbines, and fire one shot into the man's head. They then fire at the monster on top of you, and the monster falls limp, and black goo and shards of bone ooze onto you, but you don't have time to be disgusted, because you are then shot in the head as well.

You twist away onto the floor, and the monster gets dragged down with you. You both lay sprawled out in the doorway of the bathroom. The monster sinks it's teeth into your thigh, and you cringe in pain. The man screams in horror, and tries to get on top of the machines. All of a sudden, the hallway door bursts open, and men in black fatigues and combat gear in gasmasks step in. They raise their carbines, and fire one shot into the man's head. They then fire at the monster on top of you, and the monster falls limp, and black goo and shards of bone ooze onto you, but you don't have time to be disgusted, because you are then shot in the head as well.

You punch the monster in his gut, literally. Your hand meets no muscle resistance upon impact, and your hand flies through the skin and into the monsters innards. You have no time to be disgusted though, because the door flies open and men in black fatigues and combat gear rush in. The point man aims his carbine and the screaming man in the corner and fires. The man slumps forward in a bloody mess. The carbine then aims at you and the monster, and bullets tear through your back, and you can feel the holes open up through your body, including your spine breaking. The zombie falls on you, but it doesn't matter, because you've already passed out from pain, into an imminent death.

You ignore his warning, and pull down on the handle. You begin to slowly open the door, but you can't see what's inside- the room is pitch black. The man behind you is weeping silently, cowering in the corner. A foul, wrenched odor comes from the bathroom, as if something had died. A hand with fingers scratched down to the bone juts out from the dark and grabs you by your ear, and pulls. Your ear separates from your head, and blood flies everywhere. This seems to aggravate the thing inside the room, and it grabs you again by your arm and pulls. The man behind you is screaming, and you can feel the presence of the monster lurching toward your neck.

You need to thing fast.

"Hey!" You shout out to the soldiers, and wave. One man points a black-gloved finger at you, and grumbles something through his gas mask. All the other soldiers turn and raise their carbines, and the hall erupts with dust and shrapnel flying everywhere as automatic gunfire tears through everything. Bullets wiz by, making whirring sounds and then loud, cracking noises as they impact and shatter. This is almost inaudible over the blasting loud firing of the guns. You slam against the wall, and push your way through the door into the pitch black stairwell. The door opens again after slamming shut, and loud "Owing" comes from the man who was accompanied you.

"God, they shot me! They goddamn shot me!"

You run, (and he hobbles,) down the stairwell as fast as possible. All the while him crying about his leg. You can just barely see the signs depicting what floors you pass, but you manage, and find floor one. The soldiers seemed to have forgotten about you, and you hobble down the halls until you find a directional sign.

"Wake up!" The voice is distant, yet clear. All you see is a tunnel of indistinguishable colors. Feeling throughout your body is numb, and you can slowly feel sense coming back. Sharp, yet non-painful senses come to your back, legs,and head. You try to open your eyes, and blotches of visibility come penetrate the tunnel vision. You try to move, and immediately become aware of an extreme ache throughout your body.

"Come on! Please, just get up!" The ache becomes more and more painful, and true sensory feeling comes back to you. The tunnel slowly fades, and the room looks dark and grim. A ceiling light is hanging by a cord, and white sparks fly and bounce on the ground every few seconds. A small fire is in the corner of the room on the ceiling, and there is another fire below it, on the ground. Smoke has filled the air, and the only illumination comes from the fires.

"Get up! We need to go ''now!'' You groan and shift unto your knees and hands. It's some sort of hospital room, and the man next to you is in a tattered lab coat. There's blood staining the man's lab coat has blood staining through to his long-sleeved shirt, and his tan dress pants have a large rip down the shin.

"Good.. Good. You're up. Oh god, I can hear them coming. We need to get out of here! Quick!"

Hello, I'm yet another young writer talented in the arts of gory short stories. Aside form other daily activities, I have found that I have a talent of writing- I simply love it to the point of... Love. I couldn't be happier when I'm writing. I'm asked to write a page-long response, and if I find the subject intriguing enough, it ends up being 2 pages long and the teacher has to take it from me because I, "Just want to finish one more sentence." I don't know why I'm a good writer, but I love it, and I love reading equally as much. It's just... supremely superior to everything else. I've always been involved with books, and I've been at points where I just can't bring myself to put a book down. I've found myself in the same situation with writing, as I have mentioned. This profile page should have ended way back at, "I simply love it..." but I can't bring myself to stop writing.

And, my point has been made.

When I discovered, "Create your own adventure" books, I was astounded. All my life I had been reading and writing, but I had never thought of the idea of a story that can go ''your'' way... even the wrong way. I can't wait to write a new story...
