You bite you lip, trying to distract yourself from the pain in your wrist. The throbbing is lessening now, though, numbness taking its place. With a sigh, you close your eyes, letting the tempting thought of rest take over.

You wake up, with no indication of how much time has passed. The light above still flickers in the most annoying way. You are still cuffed, all except for your left hand... Wait! You jerk your head around and notice that your left hand was no longer free. It was cuffed again. And somehow... somehow healed! Someone must have came while you were sleeping and healed your hand!

You bite you lip, trying to distract yourself from the pain in your wrist. The throbbing is lessening now, though, numbness taking its place. With a sigh, you close your eyes, letting the tempting thought of rest take over. When you almost reach dreamland, you hear the click of a latch and the creaking of the door to your room.

You let out a beast like snarl to scare away your tears, and set to work on your right hand. Being a cripple was much better than being restrained.

Pulling like a wild animal, you start pressing against your cuffs with all your might- When suddenly you hear a click.

It came from the door.

Jerking your head up, you stare at the door. The metal handle lifts, and the door creaks open. Stepping in were two burly-looking guys with guns holstered in their belts. Accompanying them was a petite brunette with a silver briefcase in her hands.

'''"What do you think you are doing, 413?"''' The woman shouted, nearing you. She had one of those tones that made it obvious that she was a chatterbox. '''"Look at you! You're a sweaty mess!"''' She gestured to your sweat-stained shirt as evidence, then popped the lock on her briefcase. The strong men flanked you, their eyes watching you like a hawk. The woman, meanwhile, was sorting through the items in her briefcase. You raised your head slightly, attempting to see what all as inside. She snapped it closed though, before you had a chance. In her hand was a syringe, the vial containing a transparent liquid.

'''"Now, 413, this syringe contains microorganisms specifically designed to mend broken bones. It doesn't have a pain killer in it, however, and the process can be somewhat... painful. Let that be your punishment, though, reminding you not to do something so stupid ever again."''' You winced as she neared your skin with her syringe. '''"After all, our hopes are riding on you, 413. I personally put in a good word about you. Your potential is almost visible!"'''

The guards remain motionless, the woman and her syringe getting nearer. And you're still hungry.

You let out a beast like snarl to scare away your tears, and set to work on your right hand. Being a cripple was much better than being restrained.

S413 Break free

Bluewonder:

You have to escape, at any cost. You decide you like your right hand more, focus on happy thoughts, and press on the left restraints with as much force as you can muster. Agonizing pain rips through your arm, but you refuse to let your instincts win. With what was left of your endurance, you kept pulling, until you heard a loud ''CRACK!''

You've succeeded in breaking your wrist.

Tears welled in your eyes as the pain explodes. An inevitable scream struggled to burst out of your mouth, but you managed to keep it closed. For some reason, instinct told you not to let anyone hear.

You focus all your energy into steadying your breathing, until finally the pain subsides to a dull throbbing. Gingerly, you try easing your left hand through the cuff. Now limp and more flexible without the bone, your hand slipped effortlessly through the shackles. Your knuckles caught momentarily on the restraints, but after a short moment of pulling, they too slipped through.

And then you were free.

Well, somewhat. You still had your right hand chained. Not to mention your ankles. And on top of all that, the exertion left you ravenous for food.

Perhaps your plan wasn't the best one.

So, I'm wanting to get a little bit involved with this site, maybe. And I've decided, in order to keep from completely destroying anyone's work, I'd play in sand here, like the page told me to.

Even as I write this, though, I have no idea how this will turn out. I'l going to experiment a little, and see what happens.

So, that little status bar seemed to work quite nicely.

Let's see if I have what it takes to manipulate it a bit. I'm trying to make it a nice Amethyst color, followed by a complimentary Android Green. Instead of it being a status bar, I want it to be a... Magic bar. Now time to add in a few more changes...

Eh, a few faults in the coloring, but I know where I went wrong, and it's nothing I can't fix. Just feel a bit too lazy to change it right now, too eager to move on, you know?

-EDIT: I'm coming back a day later to try another box I thought of, and wondered if I could do without the coding destroying me...

Wow. I actually did it. I made an extra box, edited the length to my liking, deleted all but the bare necessities, and ended up with a pleasing table, with only one mishap. I feel very proud. I'm going to try to fix that mishap now. EDITEDIT: Fixed it! I just had to make the top bar span to accommodate the fourth, new column that I made! I know this might be like nothing to you guys, and to be quite honest, I find it simple myself, but... in all honesty... I feel really ingenious right now for figuring that out as quickly as I did. Because I don't do coding a lot. And now I feel special. And hopeful. Like, I might be able to make something good, you know? End EDIT EDIT, as well as EDIT.-

I FEEL MYSELF LEARNING! Ah, it feels good to bold and italicize! '''And it appears I have broken out of those ''ugly'' text boxes.''' I wonder how I managed that??? And if I can make green, can I make ORANGE? 

LE GASP! I can! How about... Amethyst? I'm thinking it's too much to hope for... Ah, it was. It changed it to a weird color. Or maybe that's what it decided was amethyst? And why am I stuck on that color, anyway??? But what about shades, like Light blue? Or is it one word? Oh! It's one word! Teal? Yes! Denim? It seems if it doesn't know a color, it just makes one up. Because red is defiantly not denim. Ah... I love colors. But I shall not overuse them, Mr. Genie. Just as I have been instructed. :D Time to mix things up a little...

Bluewonder: I don't, however, know what this thing is... But I assume I must summarize. A fun play in the sand where I have made many sand castles. It shall help me to one day make a real castle. :D
