When I'm signed in, the main Category shows me the full 66 pages that I have already completed, but when I'm signed out it only shows the first 37 pages and no others. However, when I read through the story normally, the full 66 pages are present. I know that I haven't explained this very well, but if you could visit the Category: 120 Minutes Remain while signed out, you will see what I mean. <br>

Hi Platypus,

Would you be interested in moving the project to its own domain and server? It's become painfully clear EditThis is not capable of supporting the project's infrastructure and is hindering the continued growth of the project. I've noticed several issues which are causing problems for CYOS:

* The throttling is disrupting both readers and writers from fully enjoying the stories.
* Excessive abuse filters are causing administrative issues for you.
* Lack of anti-abuse tools makes it extremely inefficient to counter abuse.
* Extremely outdated MediaWiki installation which hasn't been updated in nearly 8 years.

We can fix all of the above problems and implement a mass undo feature, a mobile version of the website, and do much more to create a modern CYOS-type website once we move to a new domain and server. :Ya, it's just the actual lead administrator isn't reachable and appears to have abandoned the project years ago for you to run. There's really nothing stopping the members of the community from getting up and moving their stories and content to a new website that's actually managed and has the features CYOS needs. For example, I think an actual notification system (see the Echo extension available for MediaWiki) would be helpful for writers to keep track of new story developments. There are lots of useful features available to newer versions of MediaWiki. I think also thinking of a client-side story customization tool, which would allow readers to customize the names and other parameters of stories without changing the story for everyone else. Okay, I have asked Teejay, but, he isn't really that strong in critiquing. I have been trying to write my Masochist me, and been hung up on my training. I am enjoying writing it alot, and trying to make sure that the reader actually understand sex, as opposed to some of the stuff that ends up in the stories on here. But, I was thinking. I am wondering, should I even bother writing this? I mean, the entire story, while it will have some vanilla sex in it, and might use a little of the current material I am writing as fodder, it is not really "the story". I realize that there are many stories here that have inconsistencies, and go off on some side thing that have nothing to do with the plot, but I am wondering if there is any use in all this research and writing. It helps, slightly, to highlight the main character, show the reader what she is like, what she is experiencing, and compares and contrasts some of the differences between her and a normal, vanilla woman, so I know it isn't completely pointless. I am also having fun researching the different steps in sex, and trying to teach the reader about human sexuality, but it is not an educational story either. Can you let me know your thoughts? Is my The teacher part of the story pointless, a waste of time, etc? Will readers even care about this part, since they are probably coming to the story to read about a woman being slapped and hit, tied and bound, tortured and humiliated? I mean, to me, this feels needed, just to get the users to think about the world she is living in, and about who she is herself. But, well, I am not the other readers on this site. Am I going to far, and should stick to simple, "I moaned as the paddle fell across my ass, red welt left behind. He grabbed my hair, forcing my head up from across his knee, and held my gaze to his. "Are you going to be good now, or do you need more?" I shot him my best defiant look. "Well, in that case," with that, he stopped talking, shoved me back over his knee and brought the belt down over and over and over again. My ass was on fire, which only make me wetter, and forced me to moan and scream, cry and kick harder. God, I was about to climax from the sheer sweetness of the pain, mind wrapped in a blissful haze."

Well, finished changing the ages in Hot & Horny on the Jessica path. All her pages should show her as 21 now. I was going to start the Miranda path, and I changed a few of the ages, but not up for reading them, and stopped making the changes. Some of the story lines just sound too much like the 6 year old that it originally was, and I find it creepy. Guess I will let you or someone else change her stuff. Sadly, the Josh stuff with Jessica was okay, but I didn't like the part where she goes into her parents bedroom. Not really something I am interested in, not with the tone and way the writer made it. I sort of lost it when I saw the "I'm about to pop an egg". Stopped reading and just edited the age only. I mean, I have seen stupid lines, but really? wtf is that? Wish the writers could at least try to "imagine" what a real woman might say... I mean, "Cum inside my womb and impregnate me" is bad enough, but really, "I'm about to pop an egg" I think may be the single, stupidest thing I have ever heard. Hey, Platypus, I seem to be having a rather strange issue, and since you seem to get around in this site, figured I would ask you. I'm working on my story [[Fallout: New Vegas]], and having a small issue with the category pages. More specifically, the page counter. On the "F" page, I tried to configure it like other stories to count the number of pages in the category "FNV". When I am logged out, the counter says one page. Essentially they would be audiobooks of the stories where you would make your decision at the end of the video, leading you to the next part of the story. It's good to know that you enjoyed "Megan". I love getting feedback, and as for your question for the "What If?" situation, I could perhaps do that. It might take some time, however.

Right now I've got the first page of "The Diary Of Bethany Cross" in the works, and after that I might get some work done on [[What Lies Beneath|WLB]]. After WLB and "The Diary", I'm planning on a chapter-by-chapter story that would unite the characters of "Rescue", "Megan", "WLB", and "The Diary" (Dead characters will still appear. Not sure how to explain it yet, but it'll happen) and thrust them into the potential end of the world.

The idea of a "What If?" version is a bit interesting, though. I'm wondering if you mean if Megan didn't kill herself, kill Vanessa, or if Vanessa killed Megan (which happens in one of the pages)? It could be fun to play around with all three of those ideas, really. Believe it or not, I've still got at least six kills to work in eventually in a later update - the gun and power-tools kills - I added the ending in so I could consider it "finished" for now and potentially get it to be the featured story and get it some exposure. Apologies for getting back to you so late, but I think the first and third ideas could work out really well. The first would depend mostly on where the story goes with the idea you started with, but it could work. Reviews would be pretty good, too. Good reviews help motivate writers and constructive criticism helps them improve. The second idea reminds me a bit of Community, though. Which - don't get me wrong - is awesome on its own. Hey, just saw the review, and thanks! Always awesome to get a well written review on something I wrote. As for the story only having one (true) ending, I understand completely. I actually have been toying with other endings (besides the one page where Vanessa kills Megan), including things like Vanessa killing Megan and surviving, Megan wimping out at the end and going home, Megan getting arrested, and stuff like that in my head. As you stated in the review, it's not finished yet, so there's time for me to add those in later. Oh, and I saw you said you only read one of the brutal kills. Which one? In a strange, morbid way I want to know which one it was so I can tell if I wrote it well.

Having a section for story reviews sounds like a good idea. Writers usually like feedback, especially constructive criticism. I appreciate being invited to join the review process, but it all depends on how much time I find to work on such a thing. The problem with William is I'm not certain what choices the player will have to make while he's in Michael's custody.

Here's a brief summary. Bear in mind that these events only occur if the reader goes down a certain path.

William uses his powers to kill Michael's friends (it's ironic that you would emphasize "accidentally," because he's mostly in control by this point in the story).

William and Michael have their first showdown in a warehouse. At first, William's powers give him the edge, but he soon realizes that Michael is too much for him to handle. Michael savagely beats him in retaliation for the deaths of his friends.

Vincent arrives at Karen's home to kill her. Rebecca also arrives to kill Vincent. The two beat each other senseless, until another figure appears, and then things really go to hell.

It was really interesting although the plot made it sound a lot like a Saw movie. The background shows a mean person and the guy capturing him sounds like a brother which didn't make a lot of sense. After all, he sounded like an enemy after the hate in the responses to questions.

Oh, right, I wanted to ask for an opinion on something I thought about. Most pages don't place a letter or title before the page names. So, the only two courses that can be done,(without plowing through every story to start over) is to let certain pages overlap. [[Kill yourself]] has eleven categories. Tell me what you think, because eventually, if nothing is done, what with pages being added, page names will be so long we could let the option be clicking the stroy in itself, just to not allow overlaps.

For example, if someone else put R, for another story, the page would be edited and it may seem like a small thing but it would get very annoying if it happens repeatedly. However, if for pages like [[Kill yourself]], the story works well, it can be some sort of intersection. It'll probably only work on endings, but it gets annoying. Once I made a page [[Die]] and it was already taken and completely inappropiate. Since it is a very small title it does seem weird. Besides, it would be easier than going through large stories, pulling them out and repasting them. It would be fine for simple stories. However, a lot go into near 100 and there is a 200 pager(The Kitty in the Window) which would probably lose pages in the process. Oh, right and it might be slightly easier to make a category, like '''Public''' to place the... public stories.

Well the problem with that is that the ''page views functtion'' isn´t based on individual viewers, but on how many times that page has been accsesed no matter if it was the same person. So one person could click on a link a thousand times and thus give that option a thousand votes. It´s not a functional voting system. Users would need to leave their signature on which story they vote on (a public vote so to say). Sure that system could be cheated to by creating new accounts and using them to vote. But that requiers a lot more effort, and would get suspective seeing so many new members being created and all of them voting for the same guy.

Other than that it´s seems like a fun and intruiging idea. Alternatively you could do a "story of all time" vote with the first one.

Replying here again. First off, I'm flattered that you think my opinion means so much - even if I can't see how one would come to that conclusion. Now, onto what you were asking about. I think the division of "Remember" into chapters could work really well. It's a lot like I was thinking of doing for my next story, dividing it into chapters for easier access, and for people to jump back into where they were when they last were reading it.

Hey, I've been a fan of this site for awhile and had the idea to adapt some of the stories to youtube. Essentially they would be audiobooks of the stories where you would make your decision at the end of the video, leading you to the next part of the story. It's good to know that you enjoyed "Megan". I love getting feedback, and as for your question for the "What If?" situation, I could perhaps do that. It might take some time, however.

Right now I've got the first page of "The Diary Of Bethany Cross" in the works, and after that I might get some work done on [[What Lies Beneath|WLB]]. After WLB and "The Diary", I'm planning on a chapter-by-chapter story that would unite the characters of "Rescue", "Megan", "WLB", and "The Diary" (Dead characters will still appear. Not sure how to explain it yet, but it'll happen) and thrust them into the potential end of the world.

The idea of a "What If?" version is a bit interesting, though. I'm wondering if you mean if Megan didn't kill herself, kill Vanessa, or if Vanessa killed Megan (which happens in one of the pages)? It could be fun to play around with all three of those ideas, really. Believe it or not, I've still got at least six kills to work in eventually in a later update - the gun and power-tools kills - I added the ending in so I could consider it "finished" for now and potentially get it to be the featured story and get it some exposure. Apologies for getting back to you so late, but I think the first and third ideas could work out really well. The first would depend mostly on where the story goes with the idea you started with, but it could work. Reviews would be pretty good, too. Good reviews help motivate writers and constructive criticism helps them improve. The second idea reminds me a bit of Community, though. Which - don't get me wrong - is awesome on its own. Hey, just saw the review, and thanks! Always awesome to get a well written review on something I wrote. As for the story only having one (true) ending, I understand completely. I actually have been toying with other endings (besides the one page where Vanessa kills Megan), including things like Vanessa killing Megan and surviving, Megan wimping out at the end and going home, Megan getting arrested, and stuff like that in my head. As you stated in the review, it's not finished yet, so there's time for me to add those in later. Oh, and I saw you said you only read one of the brutal kills. Which one? In a strange, morbid way I want to know which one it was so I can tell if I wrote it well.

The problem with William is I'm not certain what choices the player will have to make while he's in Michael's custody.

Here's a brief summary. Bear in mind that these events only occur if the reader goes down a certain path.

William uses his powers to kill Michael's friends (it's ironic that you would emphasize "accidentally," because he's mostly in control by this point in the story).

William and Michael have their first showdown in a warehouse. At first, William's powers give him the edge, but he soon realizes that Michael is too much for him to handle. Michael savagely beats him in retaliation for the deaths of his friends.

Vincent arrives at Karen's home to kill her. Rebecca also arrives to kill Vincent. The two beat each other senseless, until another figure appears, and then things really go to hell.

See what you think. It was supposed to be mushy and give you a fuzzy feeling, but whoever it is lost. The Endings will increase it cheeriness and amount Harris remembers until 6 (several paths to that), where Harris can remember everything, and it's really nice, but he can also walk down the other path and get a new planet.
