You look right into Felix's eyes in the mirror and you nod your head firmly. It was time to say byebye to that hair. Once Felix got your confirmation, he wrapped an elastic around the base of your ponytail. Your eyes watched his hand with the scissors, especially as they moved in for the first snip. You could feel your stomach flipping and flopping with excitement.

Felix slid the blades into your thick ponytail. You held your breath. Then the first 'schiiicckk' noise could be heard. Another followed. And another. Schiiick, schhiiick, schiiccick!

Your head moved back and forth a little as Felix worked on sawing through your ponytail. The knowledge your hair was being severely shortened had little jolts of excitement running through your body.

When the last 'schick' was heard, you felt the tugging at the back of your head cease. With that, Felix lifted up your ponytail for you to see in the mirror. Your eyes went wide. It was a lot of hair!

"Now we're having some fun," he chuckled as he put the ponytail on the counter nearby. Your eyes flicked from the lifeless chunk of hair to your reflection in the mirror. With the bulk gone, your hair was now in a very sloppy looking bob.

"Don't worry, it's going to be tidied up in a moment," Felix informed as he grabbed up the misting bottle. With his comb in the other hand, he began lifting up chunks of your hair and wetting them with the bottle.

You squirmed under the cape as he put the bottle down and picked the scissors back up. Felix shot you a charming little smile in the mirror, before he began lifting up sections with the comb and trimming them with the scissors. Cut strands slithered down your shoulders. Some would pool in your lap. Others would fall to the shop floor.

You watched your reflection in the mirror slowly transforming. So much hair was coming off. And in your ears you could hear the constant 'schiicck' sound of the scissors as they nibbled through your tresses. All the little bits of stimuli were almost too much for you to handle.

"Stop, stop!" you speak up. You pulled your head forward, so your hair fell from Felix's hand. "The pixie is too short for me after all," you sighed. "I'm sorry," you added, when you saw the strangely disappointed look in Felix's eyes.

"Um... how about a half inch off the ends instead?" you asked. You were a little too chicken to deviate from your usual style. No way you were losing that much hair!

"That's fine. Won't take long either," Felix's informed as he picked up his spray bottle and comb. You feel a little bad, for disappointing Felix. That was sure strange. He seemed like he'd been looking forward to lopping off your ponytail. Oh well, he wasn't getting it!

"I could totally see you with a short buzz cut," Felix nearly crooned. "That would mean taking a pair of clippers to all this hair and buzzing it really short all over. I'd say maybe half an inch. Maybe less. You'd look so stunning."

The spinning red and white pole had been tempting you for a couple weeks now. It was right next a very inviting window, which you had stolen a glance into more than a handful of times. It was hard to not steal a peak when barber chairs and falling hair was involved.

But today was different. You were going to give this place a shot. You took a breath and approached the glass door. It opened with a jingle over head. The inside was clean and well kept. There was a small number of leather barber chairs, arranged in a row along the tiled floor. Your eyes scan the relatively empty space, until your gaze lands on the one occupied chair in the place.

A client was seated in the last chair in the row. Behind him stood one of the stylists of the salon. The tall barber had short, black, spiked hair, with a hint of stubble along his jaw. He was his late twenties, most likely. His eyes were focused on his client, which he was in the midst of shearing with a pair of clippers.

"Hello!" came a voice. You looked to the side and finally noticed a reception desk nearby. Seated at the desk was another man, this one with a clean shaven face and wispy blond hair. His face was charming and youthful. He smiled up to you.

"Are you here for an appointment?" he asked.

"No, I'm afraid I'm a walk in. Do you have any openings?"

"Yes, we do. Shane will be open in a few minutes," the receptionist informed. He motioned toward the black haired stylist.

"And Felix is open right now, if you don't want to wait," he said. You arched a brow, since there was only one stylist currently working.

"Who's Felix?"

"Me," the receptionist answered with a grin.
