You carefully hand Mr. Brunner the pen, and he stuffs it into a pocket in his wheelchair. "Excited for the trip," he says. "Yeah," you say. He goes into the classroom and Mrs. Dodds glares at you as she passes by. You think about the pen, but when a student calls you into the classroom, you hurry in and sit at your desk. Mr. Brunner says something about behavior and all that, and then he says, "Let us leave." The kids rush out the door.
