A battle will take place.
In a battle, you have 15 books. You may throw them at the enemy. The enemy's weapon, hit points and damage will be listed at the bottom of the screen.
In this battle, you may throw a book each turn. To determin if it hits, get a die. If you do not have a die handy, list the numbers 1-6 on a piece of paper. Poke the paper with your eyes closed. if Jo-Ann gets a 1, 2 or 3, her book hits, and does 5 points of damage to the enemy. Otherwise, it misses. If jo-Ann runs out of books, she will attack with a ruler. It will hit on a 1 or 2 and does 2 points of damage. she has a fresh supply of books every fight. You have 30 hit points.
The enemy attacks every turn. This enemy has 15 hit points, fights with his fists, hits of a 1 or 2 and does 4 points of damage. If you reduce your enemy to 0 hit points, you win. Otherwise, he wins.
