You lift yourself up off the woman and roll her over. She doesn't resist as you pull her tangled hands back and wind the threads tighter around both her wrists and her ankles. In short order, you've bound her like a prize catch. Forplé calls, and you don't have time to play some sea-witch's games.
You haul her from the boat and leave her on the sand. She should be able to free herself before the tides comes all the way in. Probably.
The oars of the boat bite into the Cokhabad Sea as you row yourself out. A disquieting fog rolls in as you drift further from the shore. At one point, you lose sight of the hog-tied figure on the beach. When the fog passes, she is suddenly gone.
Further down the coast is the mouth of the Jabooty River, and at the end of that, Forplé. This will cut days off your journey! You've avoided dealing with the villages of the Smutititty Hills, with their petty squabbles and nasty inns. You can lose yourself in the business of Forplé and beyond that, there is nothing but the true emptiness of the Jaklands.
In the far distance up-river rises the wall of a great city; the first true stonework you can seen since you left home.
Your journey through the Smutititty Hills is already completed!
