The Ratbear is startled by your approach, but drops quickly to all fours. You will not be intimidated by an overgrown rodent. You drop quickly behind a tree, and raise your sword, ready to defend yourself. The Ratbear squeaks and snuffles, but does not attack.
It paces the clearing, sniffing around you. For a moment, it is close enough for you to smell its sewer-breath.
