You are nervous but you choose to try to catch the Pidgey with your Bulbasaur.
Since your Bulbasaur likes walking around you just told Bulbasaur "let's battle". Bulbasaur is happy and chooses to battle.
You tell bulbasaur to use tackle. It attacks pidgey.
Pidgey uses sand-attack and bulbasaur dodges it. Then Bulbasaur uses another tackle.
