The driver leaves a few minutes after the bus has stopped, once all the waiting passengers have gotten on. He steps outside the bus and closes the doors, heading across the street to the donut diner.
He is back roughly 10 minutes later, lets a few more passengers on, and this bus lurches forward for the final time as it heads toward the station. You can feel the time you have left drawing to a close as you drop below 10 minutes remaining but since you decided to ride the bus to the end of the line you have no choice but to keep waiting.
It takes roughly five more minutes until the bus finally pulls into the station, and stops on the platform indicated by the sign. It'd probably be a good idea to get off the bus now.
