Perhaps you just like conflict, but you're curious about who might be arguing in a near empty church at mid-day.

You wrap and arm around the nun's waist from behind and whisper in her ear, "take care of him, darling. I just need some water."

You turn to the middle-aged man who has taken a seat in the guest chair and is looking everywhere and nowhere at once.

You smile. "Be right back."

The young nun squeezes your hand and closes the door after you go. That girl is something else. You linger by the door's small window and watch her as she turns the man's chair to face the window. She stands over him for a moment, then kneels out of sight behind the back of the chair.

Damn.

You're second-guessing yourself, but you've already left the room. The man is clearly in good hands (or mouth, as the case may be). You're standing
