You: Yeah, she did.
DA: So she really cares about you.
You: (a little bitterly) I thought she did.
DA: Enough to bail you out of jail.
You: Yeah.
DA: And if you were stealing stuff out of that house, she would've been the one to see.
You: Yeah. Like she was the one who saw I didn't do it.
DA: And if she saw you doing something embarrassing, she'd want to hide it.
You: Huh?
DA: Like lying for you on the stand.
You: Huh?
DA: Or just not showing up in court!
You: Wha-?
