You turn your head and try to get your mother's attention. Julianne is looking out of the window and doesn't notice until you whisper: "Mum. Mum!"

From your whispering, Julianne takes it that you don't want to raise the attention of anybody else. She brings her mouth to your ear. "What is it, sweetie?" she says silently.

"Mum, I'm getting thrown all over the place. I need to get a grip somewhere."

"Yes..? Why just don't you?"

You blush. "If I let go of my dress, I might show more than I want to."

Julianne chuckles. "I see. Don't worry, dear. I'll lend you a hand."

She moves her hand to your left thigh to hold the hem of your dress in place. You let out a sigh of relief. You're now able to hold onto the driver's seat and don't bump against everything close by. You're grateful that you have such a great mother.
