Something was wrong.
There wasn't anything in the environment to which the consciousness could cling to. But that wasn't the problem.
It was hard to collect thoughts together to decide what was. Something was not right with the pattern of thoughts themselves, they were... blank. Blank and blind. The only thing that was distinctly being realized was that there shouldn't be anything in this realm. For a while, that was the only this that was being comprehended and was the only idea around which the mental self was being formed.
