You drive to your dad's house, way out in the woods. You break down the door, pulling out your pistol, to see your dad, reading a book. He startles, and you start to look around for his shotgun. There it is.
Discarding your pistol, you take the gun and point it at Dad. "Why the fuck did you abuse me all those years?" you shout.
"Now, son, there's no need to get angry," he says, holding his hands palms up.
"You abused me! You beat me until a bled, and then beat me more!"
"Son, look at who you're today. I made you this way."
