It could be nothing, but this figure is the only lead you have so far. Better to follow it than to just stumble around blindly.
You hurry around the corner after the shadowy figure, just in time to see it duck into a side alley. As you approach the opening, you feel a sense of terror, as if something very powerful and dangerous is very close. You wonder if you've bitten off more than you can chew, and feel a desire to go back to the hotel and wait until daylight to come out.
Then again, adventure is what you wanted, right? And you have all these weapons with you...
