"Who's there?" you demand, as you approach the bush, peering either side to spot if the figure tries to run. But when you get there, you find nothing.
You beat the bush with your sword and find nothing, except for one thing: a hollow tube of bamboo, with touches of coloured ink at one end, that looks remarkably like a blow-pipe.
It is cracked and must have been discarded as worthless by its owner – but this might mean that whoever put the heads on those poles is nearby, You toss the pipe away, but you had best be on your guard.
