...You start inland, after shielding your bare feet from pine needles and rocks. The sounds of the ocean recede quickly, and the once-powerful wind dies away, leaving just a quiet night in the forest...
...On a whim, you shed your flashy silver-gray sarong in a silken puddle. Crouching low, you creep forwards in your black swimsuit...
...You are nearing the tents when a tall figure, hitherto unspotted stands up from his seat under a tree, casting a shadow in front of the moon...
...The boy pauses, and deviates from his course, stooping to investigate something. Your heart stops when he lifts it up, and you realize he found your sarong. After a moment of your panic, though, he shrugs, folds it neatly and lays it back down...
...Finally, he reaches the beach and stops. As you watch, he drops on the dune, and begins to pray...
...Unable to hold off any more, you stand and start to walk towards him. His words slow and stop as he hears you approach...
...a shudder racks his body as you run your hands along his bare shoulders...
...You hug him, and he buries his head in your shoulder, his tears streaking down your back...
..."-re you?" he asks, as you settle down at his side. You shrug. "Does it actually matter?" With a sigh, he shakes his head...
..."-be all right." You say, stroking his hair. "Anyways, what if it isn't? You learn, and do better next time. Meanwhile, it's still part of the grand plan, still working to fulfill God's visio-"...
...His breathing slows, and he finally sleeps. You lean down and gently kiss his forehead. Tears begin to form in your eyes, as you cry out to a God you didn't think you believed in anymore...
...You wake up. It is still night, but not for long, and you clamber to your feet. With a whistful glance, you blow a kiss to the sleeping boy, and start for home...wherever that is...
