You decide to keep searching for the lantern, but you can't even find a candle. So you decide to walk forward a little bit more into the darkness of the room. The floor seems sturdy, so you decide to keep moving forward while feeling the wall. But suddenly, when your left foot steps out, it reaches nothing but air.
