One thing is sure, the situation will not clear up if you just sit there doing nothing. So you get up and search the bodies in case they have anything you could use. You find some clothes in a decent state, as well as a few gold coins and a longsword. One thing is sure, the situation will not clear up if you just sit there doing nothing. You wake up to the sound of the waves with a splitting headache. Before you even open your eyes, you realize you are soaked from head to toe. You feel the sun and a cool wind on your half naked body. You only want to lie there forever, but you know you cannot. As you painfully shift your position, bile and salt water surge into your dry throat. You vomit copiously on the sand.

By Sigmar, where are you and what happened?

With a tremendous effort, you manage to sit up. You are on a beach covered with splintered pieces of wood and inert bodies. Some of the corpses surrounding you are charred and torn. Collecting your confused thoughts, you assert the situation. It is early morning, and you appear to be the only person still alive in the vicinity. ''A shipwreck'', you think. ''I just survived a shipwreck.'' Even as you praise Sigmar for His mercy, you try to recall the last events. But you have no memories of the wreck, or even of the ship. Why are you here? Where are you exactly?

More to the point, ''who'' are you?

You do not even know your name. You attempt to remember some event of the past, any event, but you fail. It is as if you had just been born here, on this beach, a few minutes ago. Yet you surely must have a past, because you have knowledge. You know that Karl Franz is the current Emperor, that Couronne is the capital of Bretonnia, and that Sigmar is good. Why, then, do you not know who you are?

One thing is sure, the situation will not clear up if you just sit there doing nothing. You have two choices: either you [[investigate the site]], or you [[walk along the beach]] in search of a settlement.
