GBYWN Federations
From Bywpedia
This is an assembled list of backyard wrestling federations which has been integrated by Global Backyard Wrestling News (GBYWN). GBYWN previously worked by integrating federations under banner based on offering them the choice to join and later made it mandatory to participate in the community requiring the submission of federation details. At one point, organizations that were less able-bodied became prohibited to join in order to preserve the reputation of the site which members accused of assembling “crappy” federations, and rather stuck to providing more popular and talented federations. But in the interest of fair promotion considering the type of practice, federation types of all kind and skill level were rendered eligible to align. The sign-up approach is now user-generated since the switch to adhering to the forums.
In the outset of GBYWN, over hundreds of federations helped to shape the community and inspired the foundation of many other leagues. Back when trampoline wrestling was more favored, Trampoline Championship Wrestling inspiringly attracted the backyard wrestling community, but none as effective as Championship Wrestling Association, who showcased professional wrestling expertise in a backyard environment. Pro Tech Wrestling (now Round Lake Syndicate Wrestling), Kick Ass Wrestling, and Hunter Valley Wrestling Alliance also impacted during the early days as well as Extreme Wrestling Alliance that appealed with their full-length storylined events, became the GBYWN Federation of the Year in 2006.
Today, the top federations in the community are 2KW, who produce a shoot wrestling style product with risky athletic spots and wrestling, ETTW considered one of the finest all-out trampoline federations today, Jersey Wrestling Allstars and Round Lake Syndicate Wrestling which are labelled for being two of the best mat/base organizations, and Indiana Championship Wrestling, a trampoline federation filled with storyline angles and action-packed spectaculars. Around the sport and GBYWN, names such as Shawn Matthews, The Prodigy, Joe Randa, and PJ Matthews are synonymous.
Since 2006, approximately 200 federations have joined the GBYWN community with many falling into inactivity or eventually coming to a demise. Currently there are approximately 150 active federations. Here is a list of backyard federations which have been in, or currently is in GBYWN:
