From Bywpedia
Alex Nicol better known as Chalis is an Australian backyard wrestler of NBW (Northern Beaches Wrestling). He was born in April 1993 and currently lives in Sydney.
He also wrestles in other federations such as LCWA or IYHWA . Considered as one of the most talented wrestler, he has already faced some of the best Australian wrestlers including Brynx , Benny Slater or Jonathan Cross . He is the main figure and the founder of NBW.
Beginning of his carreer (2007-2008)
In 2007, Chalis founded his own wrestling federation NBW at only 14 year-old. He quickly became the best wrestler of the fed beating all his opponents and was several times champion of NBW. He defeated Avezy and Milkman in January 2008 thanks to impressive signatures moves and won his two matches against Angelo De Rome with submission holds during the same year.
His two main rivals in NBW are Tempset and Baneblade. In 2008, he wrestled five times against Baneblade and won three times. Matches have always been long and violent between the two men and usually finished by K.-O. or submissions. In January 2008, after a long hardcore match, Chalis finally won using a chair as finisher. He still emerged victorious in April and June 2008 but was defeated by Baneblade in "A new beginning" and "Blood Stained" few days later. However, Chalis' main serious challenger was Tempset. He triumphantly won against Tempset in February, June and July 2008 using a chair as finisher (he got the NBW title) but was eliminated in a hardcore triple match by Tempset. In 'Morning Dash", despite well executed signature moves, he was a second times defeated by him. In NBW, Chalis knew an other failure in a triple math against Milkman and Angelo De Rome in October 2008 where he was unable to stop Angelo's victory.
Over the same year, Chalis also wrestled outside NBW and faced some of the best wrestlers of LCWA. However he was often defeated by very experienced wrestlers. In "Wollongong Bash", he faced LCWA's Benny Slater - a young and very talented wrestler. Despite some impressive moves, Slater's finisher finally knocked him out. In June and August, he still lost at LCWA against Michael M and Domian Kane dominated by their powerful moves.
