Backyard Adrenaline Wrestling (2008 - 2009)
Dale debuted as NRGY, winning his first match at "BAW - The First Show". He then went on as number 1 contender to face High Voltage Hardie in the same night but was defeated.
NRGY became a dominant force in BAW, racking up the most reigns as Hardcore Champion with a record number of 6. NRGY is best known for his series of matches with High Voltage Hardie in BAW, followed up by an instant classic against Hardcore Hudson. NRGY then changed his ring name to "President Payne" and became a wrecking force in BAW, tallying a winning streak before the company folded.
HomeGrown Elite Wrestling (2009-2010)
Dale then moved to HGEW in mid-2009, continuing his President Payne gimmick. He was featured in the opening contest of "HGEW - Trepidation" where he was pinned by Killah Craig. Payne then went on to have a critically acclaimed series of matches with Alex Page, which are being dubbed "The Best Scottish Match Series Ever" consisting of three 5-star matches. Payne then suffered an injury, and was sidelined from wrestling for a year.
Total British Wrestling (2011 - present)
By the time Dale's injury wore off, HGEW had folded. He has been announced as one of the names for TBW's debut show in 2011.
