History

Early Days (2008-2010)

HGEW, initialy known as BAW, was formed as a way of bringing Backyard Wrestlers from all over Scotland to one federation, it combined together many local feds. The federation was headlined by three wrestlers, E-Nile-Ation, Hardcore Hudson and President Payne. HGEW would upload music videos highlighting the fortnight's events, usually featuring the title on line. HGEW was originally a trampline promotion, holding shows all over the Nairn area on various trampolines to a small crowd who followed the show religiously. HGEW made its transition to ground in 2009, holding less shows between 09 and 2010, which were usually never uploaded online. Alex Cruize and Zack Arius were the main headliners for 09-10, notably the feud of the year. HGEW decided to go on hiatus and get the promotion put online properly in 2011.

The Rebirth & 2011

HGEW decided to revamp their product, a new logo, with a new format. Lots of new wrestlers had decided to step up and join, massively increasing their roster. With new editing software, the show has a new look and HGEW looks to become a major promotion in 2011.

HGEW will be taping their first new episodes of Implosion in February / March of 2011, with the advertised main event as a "Feud of 2009 Rematch" between Alex Page and Zack Arius, along with President Payne confronting the Crew, hinting at a possible Page vs Payne match at their Trepidation Free-Per-View.
