Daniels began his BYW career in HomeGrown Extreme Wrestling as "High Voltage Hardie", a fun loving babyface who was very popular among the fans. He maintaned the generic babyface champion approach throughout his HGEW tenure, but grew tire of the gimmick and began to undergo several gimmick changes. His first gimmick change was a psycho gimmick, but was quickly dropped. After several changes, Daniels went back to the first gimmick before hanging up the boots in 2010.
