Chaz Ellis (born November 15, 1989), better known as The Prodigy, is an upscale backyard wrestler with professional training. Since 1995, he has invested his efforts into crafting himself as a skilled wrestler in many backyard wrestling federations but most essentially Championship Wrestling Association (CWA) with aspirations coming from professional wrestling. He is viewed by many in the community as one of the most prodigious backyard wrestling athletes in history to grace the practice.

Over a course of time, Prodigy decorated his name with countless backyard wrestling world championships while showcasing his showman abilities and received the honor of being named GBYWN Legend of the Year 2008, and has also made the BYWpedia Icons list.

In CWA, he gained 2 CWA World Championship, other title reigns and accomplishments, defeated arguably every roster member and engaged in rivalries with Voltage, his real-life brother Eruption, Joe Randa and CJ Cross.

He has laid claim to several accomplishments in the variety of federations he has performed most importantly including EWA, XWA, Championship Wrestling Association (CWA) and Epic-1 Wrestling.


He has become an 18 time "World" Champion throughout his entire backyard wrestling tenure with reigns as 12 time XWA World Champion, 2 time XWA Champion, 2 time EWA Champion and 2 time CWA Champion to equal 18 main championship runs. Few additional achievements are becoming 6 time XWA Intercontinental Champion, 2 time CWA Intercontinental Champion, CWA X-Division Champion and CWA Tag Team Champion.

He overall engaged in notiable feuds in CWA with many wrestlers including Voltage, his brother Eruption, Joe Randa and CJ Cross, perfecting astounding skill in the recreational practice. As a result, Prodigy has become a well-respected legendary embodiment in backyard wrestling.
