Founded in September 2008, this wiki was designed to allow the backyard wrestling community, to write endless articles on wrestlers, federations, events, groups, and concepts with the overall purpose of BYWpedia, being to share and record information for archival reasons as well as future interest.

With 1,366 articles in the database, you can begin editing in information now. If you have no experience with editing, it may take some time to understand basic wiki coding. A tutorial is coming soon.

R2 vs D2 Steals Show

• In a situation where two best friends put aside their friendship to battle for the honor of discovering the better man, Ryan Ragnarok went into combat with Danny Devine in a high profile match that stole the show at BXW Paul Kunkle Memorial 2 (Day 1). They pulled out quite the stops, receiving an ovation for a match that definitely lived up to its hype. Media will be available soon and accessible on BYWpedia and throughout the web.

GBYWN Spring Challenge 2011 Final Week

• Having commenced at the beginning of April, the GBYWN Spring Challenge 2011 is narrowing in on its final week and already 15 different entries have been submitted towards competing for the annual crown. If you feel you stand a chance, upload and send in a full match that occurred no earlier than March 20 this year and post it under a new topic in the "GBYWN Spring Challenge 2011" sub-forum at thegbywn.com.

EWA Demise?

• A rumor has been circulating the backyard wrestling community that an established, north eastern federation known as Elite Wrestling Association could be preparing for a closure, due to a precipitation of issues about EWA's residential hosting area and heat among several of its wrestlers. There is also word of a big announcement by Mike Williams regarding backyard wrestling in October.
