Main article: Team Stiff
Scythe came to ends with his heated feud with FNB which had stretched from his RSF federation, defeating FNB in his 2KW debut in September 2007. An alliance was later formed between them and dubbed as Team Stiff in their first match as partners against HollyStyles. But therefrom though, FNB proceeded to tackle a singles run following the end of 2007.
They partook in a vicious assault on Buddha Man, Matt Vengeance and Pyro following a tag match in the beginning of the 2008 season that looked to reignite their tag team unity and gain fan favoritism in the process. Scythe, moreover, became also seemingly a managerial figure behind him in his stricken hardcore rivalry with William Black, though, teamed with him to battle with Black and his fellow Elite members. However, Scythe shortly noticeably halted with accompanying FNB (actually having become less active on-screen for commentary duties as I.P Freely which many viewers did not know was Scythe) during his hunt for the 2KW World Championship in a title contender tournament, but had failed to a prevalent Great Styles.
During summer, Team Stiff resurrected forth and moved through the tag team division as a potential contender to the 2KW Tag Team Championship, only cut short with the leave of absence by FNB. Saylo was brought to the target of FNB in his return in October over hardcore credentials, which Black rather intercepted and was later pit to defend his NEW Heavyweight Championship by Representative of Divided World Entertainment, Jamal Jackson. FNB arose victorious over Black and won the NEW Title. After the match, stunningly enough however, Scythe turned on FNB wielding a chair at him and followed up with a Crimson Lips assault which left his actions on a high inexplicable note until the new season.
Savvy Heel (2009-present)
Adding fuel to the fire, Scythe costed FNB the NEW Heavyweight Title back to Black during a supershow 2KW presented with RWA in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Scythe went on in the season return of 2KW on March 7, declaring he "never acquired any approval from the fans", upset he was only known for receiving light tube assaults and conducting crazy moves, breaking kayfabe in confirming in the fact that he was I.P Freely, who was notorious for his ocassional alcoholic drinking habits prior to commentating. Scythe admitted Team Stiff was on a role, but he was overcame by jealousy of FNB having accomplished winning the NEW Title, pleading for a Team Stiff reunion. Furthermore, it was the inception of his devious trickery to take a chair shot at FNB claiming "he knew FNB too well". But, in the end, Scythe was defeated in their stiff scheduled Pinfalls Count Anywhere match.
Scythe continued commentating more and more in a desparaging, villain-favored, heel-esque and in the duration of a match between FNB and Zero, attacked FNB with a relentless chair wielding ambush, before challenging him to another match garnering more heel heat when Zero accosted him about the unneeded assistance but thanked him. As FNB began on his vicious rampage in a match with Rico Hernandez as indication for intentions with Scythe, as a way of escapism from having to fully confront him again while FNB was out to hurt him, Scythe began pulling more tactical savvy behaviour and at 2KW Divided We Stand by feigning bloodshed minutes into a First Blood match with FNB, allowing him victory and claiming to "outsmart" the situation using a finger gesture to the temple which made its way as a trademark. In May, Scythe engaged in a Dog Collar Chain match with FNB, again incorporating help from Elite members, but ultimately, was defeated by FNB.
