In April 2009, Epic-1 Wrestling premiered as a new extension off of the defunct Championship Wrestling Association (CWA), which was co-founded and operated by Joe Randa and Max Vender, two of whom have done so with Epic-1. The federation debuted with full-length matches, but eventually decided upon better interest to abbreviate their wrestling content to music videos.
