The 2009 New Year's Evil pay-per-view was the first Pay Per View that was produced by the International Wrestling Entertainment. The main event match was the 2009 Royal Rumble. But also the two main event title matches were. World Heavyweight Champion Dan Hooper versus Matt Borske in a Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Championship in which Dan Hooper won and retained his World Heavyweight Championship. And Brian McAlmond versus IWE Champion Billy McAlmond in a Brother versus Brother Steel Cage Match, which saw Challenger beat the Champion and become the new IWE Championship
